The high Sierras are probably not on my list, but certain parts of that area with those forested mountain stream areas like Cascade Valley and Sallie Keyes Lakes areas could certainly motivate me.Īnd here’s another important thing to note: I don’t like to camp in the same ways many enjoy camping. But part of that is knowing myself and what I am really interested in. It serves as an inspiration to do part of the John Muir at some point. The scenes they captured and the humor and the people of the trail are captured so well that I honestly watch the film probably about six times a year.
I just love that fun documentary film made by several artists and hiking enthusiasts about their trek on the John Muir Trail which covers a speck of the Pacific Crest Trail. Another piece of media serves as inspiration for me and that is “Mile, Mile and a Half.”
